Park Rehabilitation and Development

These projects involve the rehabilitation and development of public parks, recreation facilities, greenways and river conservation projects. Funding is dependent  on the type of project. Learn more!

The application period is generally open between January through April. 

These projects involve the purchase and/or donation of land for park and recreation areas, greenways, critical habitat areas and/or open space. Funding is dependent on the type of project. Learn more!

Available through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, C2P2 grants can be used for development, land acquisition, trails, and planning. Learn more!

Most programs require a minimum cash or noncash matching contribution from the applicant that is equal to 50 percent of the project cost.

The overall goal of the WRPP is to restore and maintain restored stream reaches impaired by the uncontrolled discharge of non-point source polluted runoff and ultimately to remove these streams from the Department of Environmental Protection’s Impaired Waters list. Projects involve the construction, improvement, expansion, repair, maintenance, or rehabilitation of new or existing watershed protection Best Management Practices (BMPs). Learn more!

There is a maximum of $300,000 for any project. A 15% match of the total project cost is required.

Applications are generally accepted between February 1 and May 31 each year.

This program allocates money to plan, acquire, develop, rehabilitate, and repair greenways, recreational trails, open space, parks, and beautification projects using the GTRP. Projects involve development, rehabilitation, and improvements to public parks, recreation areas, greenways, trails, and river conservation. Learn more!

Grants shall not exceed $250,000 for any project. A 15% match of the total project cost is required.

Applications are generally accepted between February 1 and May 31 each year.

SFP is funded through the Commonwealth Finance Authority, which provides for costs associated with the planning work required under Act 537 Sewage Facilities Act. Learn more!

Grants shall be awarded to eligible applicants up to $100,000. A 50% match of the total project cost is required.

PennVEST provides low-interest loans and grants for new construction or improvements to publicly or privately-owned drinking water, stormwater, sewage treatment facilities, and non-point source pollution prevention best management practices. PennVEST also provides loan funding to remediate brownfield sites; and loan funding to individual homeowners for repair or replacement of their malfunctioning on-lot septic system or first-time connection to a public sewer collection system. Frequently Asked Questions

How does BABA (Build America, Buy America Act) affect the ARPA grant programs?

BABA, the Build America, Buy America Act, is a separate program from the Covid-19 ARPA funding. Grants for the Covid-19 ARPA H20 PA and PA Small Water and Sewer programs are covered by DCED/CFA’s standard Grant Agreement.
