Fuel Tank Relocation
West Goshen Township, Chester County, PA
When the Township needed to replace its aging and undersized aboveground motor fuel tanks, CEC designed a state-of-the-art fleet refueling facility incorporating networked fuel management and tank monitoring systems with automated pump authorization capability to eliminate the need for keys, tags, cards, or PINs. To preserve crucial parking spaces, an innovative small-footprint design was utilized placing the needed larger storage underground tank with the fuel island located directly on top. Environmental concerns were minimized through the use of a double-wall fiberglass tank, contained piping and electronic leak detection. Runoff from the refueling pad is captured by a perimeter trench drain and directed through an oil-water separator and filter before release to the stormwater collection system.
Harvey Avenue Fuel Facility
Doylestown Township, Bucks County, PA
The project involved upgrading a small refueling facility at a wastewater treatment plant to incorporate modern dispensing equipment that could integrate remotely with the Authority’s existing fleet fuel management system. The tanks are double-walled with leak detection and a fully contained suction dispenser to reduce the chance of leaks. The dual-fuel fleet dispenser incorporates a built-in card/tag reader to save space and simplify installation and maintenance.
